Cloister VMs
Cloud machines your coding agents can drive.
Isolated cloud VMs with a desktop, a browser and a shell that an agent can operate end to end — with snapshots, so any machine can be reset to a clean state in one step.
Some work needs a real computer: clicking through a web app, running a long build, driving a desktop tool. Cloister VMs will give coding agents their own cloud machine to do that on — hosted, on demand and fully isolated from your own.
Every machine can be snapshotted, and reset to a known-clean snapshot in one step, so an agent can experiment freely and you can always get back to where you started.
Key capabilities
A whole computer for an agent
PlannedDesktop, browser and shell in one VM, controlled by an agent rather than a person.
Snapshots and one-click reset
PlannedCapture a machine's state and roll back to a clean snapshot whenever a run goes sideways.
Real isolation
PlannedEach agent gets its own virtual machine with its own kernel — not a shared container.
Agent-native control
PlannedDesigned to be driven programmatically by agents, with access you can see and revoke.
Pairs with Cloister Memory
PlannedAgents keep their project memory as machines come and go.
Secure by design
PlannedDesigned so machines are isolated per organization and team, access is scoped, and machines and snapshots can be deleted whenever you choose.
Status
Cloister VMs is being scoped now. Nothing is available to try yet; the capabilities above describe what we are designing toward.
